Looking for the perfect gift…for a friend that has everything (except a cat)? Look no further!
Here are the top 5 ways you can use cat litter…even if you are not the old, crazy cat lady!
5) Even if you use the expensive, never break, trash bags…we all know they can leak leading to a musty, old food smelling trash can in your house. If you run into that issue, mildew in the bottom of your trash cans, sprinkle a thin layer of fresh cat litter at the bottom. Change the litter every week or whenever it is damp to prevent kitchen or household odors.
4) Are you a gym rat? Constantly hitting the road, treadmill, or stair climber? If so, your shoes may be rancid enough to also talk. If you want an inexpensive shoe deodorizer, fill old socks with cat litter and then stuff the socks into your shoes. Good-As-New. Or at least the odor wont kill your neighbor’s garden when you walk by their house…
3) Drop your cell phone in the toilet? Don’t have rice in the house? If you have a box of cat litter…you are in luck! Place your phone (or other wet electronic device) in an old sock (to prevent scratching the surface) and tie it off. Then place the sock into a bag of cat litter. Leave it in there for a couple of days (or until all the moisture is gone) and presto…a dry, hopefully functional phone!
2) Are you a crafty person? Crafters enjoy using products such as cat litter, dried beans, gravel, plastic beads, rice, or sand to make projects such as bean bags, stres balls, and more!
1) Finally – as winter is coming…who wants to get stuck on the side of the road because of nasty ice and snow? If you live in an area that is prone to the nasty winter weather, keep a bag of cat litter in your trunk for emergency situations! If you are stuck in the snow, pour the cat litter evenly in front of and behind your tires to gain traction. A little cat litter in your trunk can also help by adding some much needed weight for improved traction!
So…even if you are not a crazy cat lady…you can feel confident in your cat litter purchase next time you are at the grocery store!
